Supply Chain Software

Successful supply chain software implementations are the result of solid preparation, painstaking attention to detail and the use of experienced integration resources. At New Course, we provide in-depth supply chain systems integration experience that allows you to implement the right solutions quickly and effectively.

New Course’s structured and measured approach guides you through the implementation process, with the technical competence and resources not typically found in traditional systems consulting companies.

Our supply chain software implementation focus includes:

SAP EWM and Best of Breed WMS

Many of New Course’s resources got their start in the supply chain industry working on large, complex Warehouse Management (WM) projects. For many, this WM experience dates back to the 80′s and includes over 400 supply chain execution projects. Through this considerable background, we have honed our skills and refined our methodology to create the most effect and comprehensive deployment process in the supply chain execution consulting industry.

Our credentials include experience with over 15 WM packages including the top, “best of breed” software providers as well as the WM and EWM modules from SAP. We have lead implementations in facilities that range in size from 2,500,000 sq. ft. and 1,400 users down to 20,000 sq. ft. satellite centers. We’ve designed and managed implementations for distribution centers that contain extensive automation such as AS/RS, tilt-tray sorters, AGV’s, carousels, pick-to-light, conveyor and more, to simple, manual-labor intensive environments.

New Course has the capabilities to lead the implementation and drive the complete process or simply provide specific, focused roles on the project team. New Course resources are also adept enough to join a project midstream and add instant value. Often our first of many engagements with a client is to “fix” a struggling WM project. Some projects lack the internal resources to complete the client-side activities such as “future state” process flow design, testing, training, data conversion, etc. Generally, these clients work with us to determine the appropriate staffing required completing the project. Given New Course’s credentials, experienced staff and fire-tested methodology, we are the absolute right choice for cost effective and proven WM implementations.

TMS (Transportation Management)

The TM experience of our New Course dates back to the early 90′s. Through this considerable background, we have honed our skills and refined our methodology to create the most effect deployment process in the supply chain consulting industry.

Our credentials include experience with the leading TM packages including the top, “best of breed” software providers as well as the TM module from SAP.

Labor Management

New Course’s resources have expertise with Labor Management starting with the deployment of leading commercial software packages as early as 1980, as well as the development of customized labor management software solutions. Our resources have a combined 30+ years of experience and hundreds of successful engagements, including projects in industries such as grocery, retail, third party logistics (3PL), food manufacturing, food service, wholesale apparel and others. New Course resources can develop and install Reasonable Expectancies (Engineered Labor Standards, ELS, with a range of +/-5% of normal with 95% accuracy) within the SAP EWM or stand alone Labor Management solution.

New Course has the capabilities to deploy various ELS in all environments and can lead the entire project from the development of the ELS to the software implementation and the technical integration of the systems. Given New Course’s engineering credentials, experienced staff and fire-tested methodology, we are the absolute right choice for cost effective and proven LM deployment within SAP EWM or other Labor Management solution.

Yard Management

New Course has led many engagements that improve the efficiency of supply chain execution operations including Yard Management (YM). YM functionality can generate significant efficiency gains and dramatically improve the overall throughput of distribution centers through a tight sequencing control of yard activity, particularly in industries such as CPG, Retail and Grocery. New Course has the experience to lead clients through the design and deployment of YM functionality with SAP EWM or other “best for breed” vendors.

Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC)

From bar code to radio frequency identification (RFID) to voice data entry, AIDC technologies have played a critical role in tightening the connection between material and data flows in manufacturing and distribution for many decades. How you capture the data needed to drive supply chain systems and provide accurate views of inventory levels and work-in-process should not be an afterthought. Best Practices for data collection techniques and technologies should be carefully considered and designed into operations from the start.

New Course personnel have been active contributors to this segment of the market since the late 80′s. Whether you are grappling with customer mandates for bar code or RFID compliance or investigating the potential AIDC technologies hold for tightening control of your warehousing or transportation operations, New Course can help.

"I've had the pleasure of working the New Course team members on several strategic supply chain projects over the years. They have always done a great job and delivered the projects on time and on-budget."
